Hiking opportunities are virtually endless in and around Teton Valley with hundreds of miles of trails in the Grand Teton National Park, Targhee National Forest and Jedediah Smith Wilderness. The trails closest to Teton Springs are found in the Targhee National Forest which bounds the community to the south.

Popular area hikes include:
- Table Mountain a 12.4 mile round trip, moderate to difficult hike beginning at the Teton Campground trailhead
- The Devil's Staircase a 7.8 mile roundtrip, moderate to difficult hike which also starts from the Teton Campground trailhead
- Darby Wind & Ice Caves a 6.4 mile roundtrip, moderate to difficult hike which begins at the Darby Creek footbridge
- Taylor Mountain a 7.2 mile round trip, moderate to difficult hike starting at the Coal Creek trailhead. All listed hikes offer stunning views and brilliant wildflower displays at peak bloom.
